Urban Impact a Top Employer

By Michelle Hopkins
Richmond News, December 18, 2007

BC Business Magazine recently named Richmond's Urban Impact Recycling as one of the best companies to work for in the province (in the fewer than 100 employees category).

In 1989, founder Nicole Stefenelli began Urban Impact as a university project. Today, the local, independent recycling firm has expanded from servicing four restaurants to more than 4,500 pick-up locations in all areas of the Lower Mainland. Overwhelmingly, employees stated that they thought Urban Impact is a compassionate employer that offers a great benefits program (including a matching RRSP program), and hands out cash credit to employees who take part in a "green commute."
