Urban Impact donates to Richmond Food Bank

Posted on July 17th, 2009 2 comments

On July 15, 2009 Urban Impact had a Shredathon at the Knox Plant (this is scheduled monthly usually, and through the summer months more often to accomodate more volume).  The Shredathon served approximately 20 clients who dropped off their materials for shredding.  Our on site Shredding truck was on site “to shred while you watch”.  We managed to raise $750.00 for the event and donated the proceeds to the Richmond Food Bank Society.

Our next Shredathon is on August 4, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Richmond Plant again.  The following event scheduled for August 19, 2009 will also donate all proceeds to the Richmond Food Bank Society.

Thank you to all staff for working so hard to make this such a successful event and a great fundraiser!

I think a mid summer foodbank donation is great – It seems to get neglected this time of the year. I hope we get a really big turnout for the 19th when combining it with the hybrid launch.

I love the blog, looks great. I like the links and all information about recycling.
