
Nicole, Founder and President is a passionate business woman committed to “doing good while doing well.” A dedicated environmentalist, she lives by a “zero waste” philosophy that inspires businesses and individuals to make a difference by reducing the waste we send to local landfills. Nicole currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, Science World, Waste Management Association of BC. She previously served on the Board of the Recycling Council of BC.
Sharing Nicole’s environmental values and zero waste philosophy, co-owner Rod Nicolls joined Urban Impact in 1992 after a career in the forestry sector. His commitment to technology, automation and design has turned Urban Impact’s fleet of trucks and Materials Recovery Facility into a state-of-the-art shredding, recycling, and waste management operation. Rod is a driven and innovative entrepreneur who loves to be challenged – especially when told, “you can’t do that”!
